Helpful Tips
Pressure Washers
After
using your hot water pressure washer, take time to cool
down the coil after use. Turn the burner off and run the
machine until the metal lance feels cool to the touch.
Heated water pulls the metals out of hard water and
allows them to collect on coils and chokes them down.
Testing for a choked coil is easy. If your pressure
gauge still shows excellent pressure, but the
performance seems minimized:
Remove the nozzle from the end of the wand. Shoot
into a bucket that is greater in volume than the
designated gallons-per-minute of your pressure washer.
Continue shooting into the bucket for one minute. If the
gallons in the bucket are less than the designated
gallons-per-minute of your machine, there is a flow
restriction. The probable cause is a buildup in your
coil. Call us at 260-432-9467 or 800-252-7238 to
schedule a cleaning of your coil.
Floor Scrubbers
Be sure to check your squeegee. If the leading edge
touching the floor is rounded, it's time to replace the
squeegee or at least flip it over/backwards. Check the
water level in your batteries (unless using gel
batteries) once a week and clean the tops of the
batteries as well. Be sure to rinse the recovery tank
with a hose every time you use the equipment. Remove
your brushes and rinse them each day for longer life.
Allow to hang and dry overnight.
